JURNAL HUKUM TO-RA • LONG-TERM SCHOLARLY ACCESS
Archiving Policy
Preserving the availability, authenticity and integrity of published legal scholarship.
Policy Statement. Jurnal Hukum to-ra, published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, supports the long-term accessibility and preservation of its scholarly publications and publication records through responsible digital management.
1. Scope of Archiving
Archiving covers published articles, PDFs, journal volumes and issues, bibliographic metadata, article identifiers and, where available, supplementary material and formal corrections or retraction notices. Restricted editorial and reviewer records are managed separately from publicly accessible content.
2. Online Journal Archive
Published issues and articles are accessible through the journal's OJS archive. The journal seeks to maintain accurate article titles, author names, volume and issue information, publication dates and relevant persistent identifiers.
3. Backup and Digital Preservation
Operational backups support recovery of journal files and systems following technical problems. Independent long-term preservation provides additional protection against the loss of published content. These are distinct functions; the presence of OJS or routine backups alone does not establish participation in a recognized preservation network.
4. Preservation Networks and Verification
Where eligible and technically supported, preservation may be arranged through recognized services such as the PKP Preservation Network, LOCKSS or other suitable mechanisms. Any public claim of enrollment, deposited issues or preservation coverage must be supported by verifiable operational records.
5. Metadata and Publication Integrity
The journal seeks to preserve accurate bibliographic information, maintain DOI links where assigned, and retain clear relationships between original articles and subsequent corrections, Expressions of Concern or retraction notices. Metadata registration and indexing are not equivalent to full-text digital preservation.
6. Continuity and Access
If the journal platform becomes unavailable, the publisher should seek to restore access using appropriate technical and preservation arrangements. In the event of journal discontinuation, reasonable steps should be taken to maintain the scholarly record, subject to available infrastructure and applicable preservation agreements.
7. Responsibility and Review
The publisher and journal management are responsible for reviewing archiving arrangements, verifying preservation claims, maintaining publication records and updating this policy when the technical or organizational arrangements change.
