Post-Publication Discussion Policy
JURNAL HUKUM TO-RA • SCHOLARLY DIALOGUE
Post-Publication Discussion Policy
Constructive legal debate, critical responses and continued scholarly evaluation.
Policy Statement. Jurnal Hukum to-ra recognizes that scholarly assessment continues after publication. The journal welcomes evidence-based criticism, doctrinal clarification, alternative legal interpretations and professional discussion of published legal research.
1. Scope of Discussion
Eligible topics include legal reasoning, interpretation of statutes and judgments, doctrinal inconsistencies, methodological concerns, comparative legal analysis, policy implications, inaccurate legal citations and substantive publication errors. Comments must be scholarly and supported by relevant legal authorities or evidence.
2. Submission of Comments
Send comments to tora.fh@uki.ac.id. Identify the published article, DOI or URL, specific issue, relevant legal sources, supporting arguments and any competing interests. Scholarly criticism must distinguish established facts from interpretations or allegations.
3. Editorial Assessment
The editor assesses relevance, evidence, clarity, professional language and ethical compliance. Submissions may be accepted for further consideration, returned for revision, declined, or referred to independent experts where necessary. Submission does not guarantee publication.
4. Author Response and Scholarly Exchange
Original authors may be invited to respond to substantive criticism. Responses should address legal sources, research methods and interpretation without personal attacks. Suitable comments and responses may be published as scholarly correspondence or other appropriate journal content following editorial assessment.
5. Corrections and Integrity Concerns
Verified material errors may require correction. Serious unresolved concerns may warrant an Expression of Concern; materially unreliable findings may require retraction. Research-misconduct allegations are handled through the appropriate ethics procedure. Academic disagreement alone does not establish misconduct.
6. Moderation and Publication Records
Discussion must respect confidentiality, privacy, professional ethics and intellectual-property rights. Defamatory allegations, threats and misuse of personal information are not acceptable. Published comments, author responses and formal notices should be traceably linked to the original article where practicable.
