Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Transparent publication fees, independent peer review and accountable payment procedures.
Fee Policy. Jurnal Hukum to-ra: Hukum untuk Mengatur dan Melindungi Masyarakat, published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, charges no fee for initial manuscript submission. Article Processing Charges apply after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and received an acceptance decision.

1. Publication Fee Schedule
Submission Fee No charge for submitting a manuscript.
Indonesian Authors IDR 1,250,000 per accepted article.
International Authors USD 82 per accepted article.
Payment Stage After academic acceptance and before issuance of the official Letter of Acceptance (LoA), under the stated administrative procedure.
2. Editorial Independence
Manuscripts are evaluated according to scholarly quality, originality, methodological suitability, relevance and publication ethics. Payment does not guarantee acceptance, accelerate peer review or influence reviewer recommendations and editorial decisions. Academic acceptance must be determined independently of APC payment.
3. Payment Procedure and Letter of Acceptance
  1. The author submits the manuscript through OJS without payment.
  2. The manuscript undergoes initial screening and peer review.
  3. An authorized editor issues the academic acceptance decision.
  4. The Editorial Office communicates the applicable APC and official payment instructions.
  5. The author completes payment and provides confirmation as requested.
  6. The official LoA is issued in accordance with the journal's administrative procedure.
  7. The accepted article proceeds through production and publication.
4. Payment Transparency and Verification
Authors should follow only official payment instructions communicated by the journal or publisher. Payment inquiries, administrative confirmation and documentation must be directed to the authorized Editorial Office. This policy does not authorize payments to individuals or unofficial accounts.
5. Open Access and Reader Charges
Article Processing Charges are distinct from reader access. Published articles remain freely accessible to readers under the journal's applicable open-access and CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licensing policy. Readers are not required to pay subscription or article-reading fees.
6. Official Publication Fee Decision Letter
The official publication fee decision letter provides the journal's supporting administrative reference for the stated charges.
Important: No submission payment is required. APC invoices or payment instructions should be issued only after the manuscript receives an academic acceptance decision.
