Authors publishing in Jurnal Hukum to-ra: Hukum untuk Mengatur dan Melindungi Masyarakat, published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Kristen Indonesia, retain copyright in their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), unless a different license is expressly identified for particular material.

Authors retain ownership of copyright and remain identified as the original creators of their published work. The right of first publication allows Jurnal Hukum to-ra to publish, disseminate, identify and preserve the article as part of its scholarly record. Authors remain free to exercise their retained rights, subject to applicable agreements and the rights already granted to users under the published license.

Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Users may share and adapt licensed material for non-commercial purposes if they provide appropriate attribution, identify the license, indicate modifications and distribute shared adaptations under the same or an approved compatible license.

Authors may deposit, share and distribute their articles through institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks and other appropriate platforms. They may also enter into additional non-exclusive distribution arrangements, provided these do not conflict with existing rights or agreements. The original publication in Jurnal Hukum to-ra must be acknowledged using its complete citation and DOI or permanent URL, where available.

Authors may share earlier manuscript versions in appropriate repositories or scholarly platforms, subject to applicable copyright and institutional requirements. Any earlier public version relevant to the submission should be disclosed during submission. When the article is published, authors are encouraged to update repository records with a citation and link to the Version of Record.

Authors are responsible for securing necessary permission to reproduce copyright-protected figures, photographs, maps, data, research instruments and other third-party materials. Such materials must be properly attributed. Content excluded from the article's Creative Commons license should be clearly identified. Applicable exceptions, public-domain status and statutory rights remain unaffected.

• Authors: Ensure originality, lawful use of protected content, accurate attribution and necessary permissions.
• Users: Follow the applicable license, acknowledge authorship and avoid misleading attribution or implied endorsement.
• Journal: Maintain the integrity of publication information and communicate copyright and licensing terms transparently.

Creative Commons permissions do not override privacy, publicity, moral rights, third-party ownership or other applicable legal restrictions. The license grants no warranties. Rights already granted under a valid Creative Commons license cannot ordinarily be withdrawn from compliant licensees. Separate permission may be sought for uses outside the license.
